Vacancy – Event Manager

YUST combines short and long-term stays, events, food and culture, located in creative and emerging neighbourhoods. At YUST, the creation of a community between the residents and the locals is our main objective. We’re looking for a creative and social Event Manager to grow our community in Antwerp.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE’RE LOOKING FOR? 

Our events are the heartbeat of the YUST community. They range from in-house events to external events. Reporting directly to the Food & Events Manager you’ll oversee & manage:

In-house events (weekly Sunday brunch, art exhibitions, music sessions etc.):

• You’re responsible for creating a monthly calendar of unique events that attract guests, residents, and locals
• You’re in charge of making sure YUST is a hotspot and the place to be when it comes to events
• You’ll organise events from A-Z; pre-event organisation & communication, hosting, event logistics, managing event staff, being point of contact and managing the budget (daily follow up and invoicing)
• You’ll work closely with the marketing manager and help determine event marketing strategies

External events (meetings, corporate events, product launches etc.):

• You’ll organise the event from A-Z; pre-event organisation & communication, event logistics, managing event staff, being point of contact for the client
• You’ll support the B2B team with the operational side of all events

Don’t worry, when you have stylish meeting rooms, a fire pit, a delicious restaurant, and a rooftop, organising events is incredibly fun.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

Everything to do with Event Management: event planning, client contact, budget management, preparation, organisation, and problem-solving. There is no one who can organise and lead an event like you:

• You have experience working in the events industry
• You are a problem solving/practical thinker, you are proactive and troubleshoot problems before they occur
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as part of a team
• You are sociable, with good communication skills (ENG & NL is a must, FR is a plus)
• You are well-organised; can respect timings and are deadline-oriented
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

But above all, you stay ahead of the curve, you’re a trendsetter, who knows what the next thing will be before the rest.
