To close off Bacardi rum month, YUST and Bacardi are joining forces for a special Rum tasting and Masterclass.

Join Anthony Elskens, Bacardi Brand Ambassador, for an intimate and exclusive masterclass. Taste three different Bacardi rums, learn how to make cocktails with each of them and enjoy them afterwards with some paired food.

The cocktails we’ll make:

1. Clarified Daiquiri with Bacardi Carta Blanca
2. Rum based Negroni with Bacardi Cuatro
3. Pina colada spritz with Bacardi Ocho

Food pairing:          

1. Mackerel, escabeche & apple
2. Stracciatella. do buffala, pickled mushrooms & nuts
3. beetroot, cherry & blue cheese

Meet your host

Anthony Elskens, as a child he was already fascinated by the intense spices, flavours and aromas that could be found both in his mother’s Antillean dishes and his grandparents’ vegetable and herb garden. The love for cocktails came only when he started working in the Antwerp bar scene in 2014, apprenticed to a number of bartenders who represent the crème de la crème in our gastronomic country.

Since Februari 2022 he works as a brand ambassador for Bacardi Martini. In this role, he guides people through a delicious journey of aromas, cocktail-history and -techniques.
